Agree, if you head towards Burlington around the bend at Bayberry the yellow line is way offset to one side and vehicles get squeezed/almost hit head on by people in the other direction being right on the line.

When the Schmanska Park parking lot was reconfigured by Bayberry with new curbing, lighting, etc., the road was narrowed to slow traffic coming into the neighborhood from South Burlington. As anyone living on Grove Street knows, cars barrel in from South Burlington at dangerous speeds. However, after Bayberry rebuilt the parking lot, the Grove Street center line was never repainted to reflect the narrowing of the road. It needs to be repainted at the new center line. Also, the old traffic calming measure that used to be in from of the parking lot has worn away. It also needs to be replaced in the new location, as shown on the approved Bayberry plans. Not sure if these are Bayberry's responsibilities, or DPW's.

Thank you for your input, as Mr. Mahnke outlined the road was purposely narrowed with the work performed by the Bayberry development and approved by DPW. They still have on their remaining work, repaving about 1000 feet of the road between the park and their entrance. This work should happen this summer and is the responsibility of Bayberry. We will work with them to better understand their schedule for this work given the concerns and challenges expressed with the old centerline location.
