答 It hasn't even been 2 full days since the park on Washington was locked and there is dog feces all up and down Grand Street. There is garbage and plastic within the park itself (probably left by the workers who removed the blue water tank). Can we please reopen the park? The people who have been using have kept it maintained and have treated it with the upmost respect - aside from using the water tank as a garbage, which in their defense was a bit confusing since you have a sign in the park that speaks to the cleaning up of dog waste which alludes to the use of the park. Regardless this will not be an issue any further with the tank being removed. Why lock it up and take access away from everyone if you don't plan on doing anything with it?

We can unlock the Garden Areas as long as written requests with explanations are sent in writing to DPW Director's Office, or Parks & Forestry.
Emails are as follows:
PStamato@jcnj.org
SOcasio@jcnj.org
If this pertains to accessing the area to utilize for dog(s), please note that City Ordinance 90-12.1.- Prohibits against dogs in certain Parks. Paulus Hook currently falls under the list of Parks in which dogs are prohibited from entering.
You can still walk the dogs along the pavement areas, as long as they are leashed, but unfortunately, we can not violate the aforementioned ordinance.
