Traffic moving north/south on 29th Street does not stop at 23rd Ave North and because street parking for Mazzaro's along 29th makes it very difficult to see if 29th Street is clear, the intersection is problematic. Consider making the intersection a 4-way stop to improve safety. Thank you!

Transportation department staff conducted a 12-hour daylight traffic study on Saturday March 23, 2019 at this location and based on these results determined that minimum conditions as established by State and Federal authorities for an all-way stop have not been satisfied.
Most vehicles were northbound on the through street and steady throughout the core day, with no 1-hour period exceeding 200 vehicles, whereas 300 vehicles per hour for 8-hours is required to install an all-way stop. Sight lines from the stop signs are clear and unobstructed, with the exception of two brief periods when vehicles parked illegally in the No Parking to Corner restrictions. There have been no reported crashes at this intersection in the past 5-years and no other mitigating engineering factors that would be addressed with this installation of an all-way stop.
