anonymous poster: these signs are not for the people walking across the street, but for the driver to be reminded that it is a state law that pedestrians have the right of way. this has been a tremendously successful campaign and has brought the brakes to running pedestrians out of the crosswalks.
in short - if you could provide any evidence that these are not bringing average traffic speeds down, that would be helpful. this is a great use of taxpayer money and increases the walkability of our fair city.terrific. the average speeds have decreased and the amount of space
