Thank you for reporting your issue to the City of Bridgeport. The property owner has been fined and a lien has been placed on the property. Because this issue has reached the final stage of the anti-blight process, this issue is now closed.

Does that process not include rectifying the situation? i.e. getting it cleaned up?

The property was cited for the following broken glass, crumbling stone or brick or other condition evidencing deterioration or inadequate maintenance (8.76.020, 3, 8.i.) FRONT PORCH IN DISREPAIR & TRIM IN NEED OF PAINT & DEAD TREE IN FRONT YARD TO BE REMOVED OR PROPRLY PRUNNED. The property is not in violation of overgrowth or debris. So an emergency order for clean up does not apply. It has reached the our blight process , and the City doe not repair or remodel privately owned property or remove trees on privately owned property.

Thank you for the clarification. It's good to know the limitations. But what happens if/when the owner just ignores it all?

Can we contact the bank to complain to them, and force them to take sell the property? As I understand it this is bank owned.
