Why is it this has been repeatedly reported by many different folks and yet this serious problem is allowed to continue? Unbelievable the lack of concern re public safety, etc.

Thanks, KLo. I agree ~ I know many of my neighbors have repeatedly reported this yet no action. Even our Council person, Kate Harrison, has reported being very frustrated by City staff. While it appears there are many ordinances and regulations that could be used to remove this, there always seems to be some flimsy reason given by City staff about why it doesn't happen. It's just disgusting ~ what will it take? Someone dying in the bike lane trying to veer out of the way of falling debris? Or a child being bitten by a rat or pricked by a needle? It is unbelievable......

This unsanitary, unsightly pile of rubbish has been there since at least last summer. Reported and photographed by multiple sources (including myself), this health and safety hazard has not been remedied by the COB. Would somebody please fix this mess?

As of April 9, this trash pile continues to grow. Immediately to the west on Hearst, a satellite encampment (tent, garbage, etc.) has sprouted up. There has been no action taken by the COB on this situation for nearly a year now.
