I agree as does MANY people. Good luck getting MDOT to listen. They don't live here and they don't drive our roads on a daily basis to see the problem. Half the time traffic is backed up and you can't go over 28 to 35 MPH.

I used to live out on m-20 and there was never a problem with 2 lanes in each direction. Having a center turn lane going over a bridge is just pure genius.

I've wondered the same thing myself. Left turn lanes, but no where to turn???

The fools down at MDOT pointing to factoids from some obscure journal publication from Pakistan showing how 3 lanes with one going nowhere that's used by nobody, is much more safer than 4 lanes on a busy highway, (M20). Makes perfect sense to foreigners but since they don't have to be responsible to those of us that pay their paychecks, they can do what ever they want. "Figures don't lie, but liars do figure" with MDOT figuring that our lives are closer to obtaining pure enlightenment by doing it their way. As for making a left turn, think of it as "Patience is a virtue" so we all become more virtuous by making left turns off of Adams on to High.
