City Hall – DR assigned this issue to Traffic - KC (Permits)

Unfortunately this is not the first time something like this has happened in this street. Other trucks have hit polea. Both trucks and cars have hit parked cars.

The street is just not big enough for a two way street. This should be a one way street.

The traffic on Davenport Street has gotten much worse the past few years. There is often a line of cars stretching from Elm to Mass Avenue in the morning. If you add a wide truck then two way traffic is not possible without using the sidewalk. Perhaps we can make this a one way street during rush hour? I support your suggestions Daniel of a 20 mph speed limit and limiting access.

The Traffic Department will move forward with making Davenport Street one-way in the southbound direction. We plan to install the necessary signage in the next 3-6 weeks. We will distribute flyers through the neighborhood with more specific information before implementing the change.
