Description
The city tree in front of my property is the isse. In October 2018 the roots of this tree encroached on the sewer pipes of my property....what a mess... RotoRooter came and fixed the problem at a cost of $500. I contacted the department in Oct. 2019 regarding this issue with no response. Now that Winter is over, the roots will begin to expand causing the same problem all over again. If this tree is not cut down soon, there will be the same problem with my sewer pipe, mess and the cost of $500. I am retired and this problem is not acceptable. Please cut this tree down so the problem will cease to exist. Thank you. Maria Sobko

Ms. Sobko. The tree has been added to our inspection workload (currently about 900 requests). Trees are evaluated for hazards and we will remove trees that are dead, diseased, dying or structurally unsound.
As to pipes, the Parks Department does not review claims against the city, they can be made through the City Town Clerks Office and are reviewed by council.

We do encourage everyone to carry pipe safe insurance.
