The crosswalk at Broadway and Lawton needs to be repainted and the trees along Broadway need to be pruned so motorists can see pedestrian and speed signs.

I cross Broadway with my toddler every day so I can take BART to work and he can attend his preschool. We also cross here to access shopping and restaurants on College Avenue. The crosswalk is faded and motorists often speed through the intersection. I have had a few close calls where drivers have run through the crosswalk despite the presence of pedestrians. In the winter it is worse with the early darkness.
