I agree. That stretch of 252 does not suit the enormous load of drivers in 2010. It may have been adequate back when it was constructed, but it's not working now. And I see Upper Providence is going to add a nice development of 50 homes in that general area. Matters will only get worse.

Yes , this happen because most people are students from Delaware County Community College, try before 7:05 am or after 8:40 am . Goo luck

This intersection has too much going on in a confined amount of space. More lanes and a wider bridge would go a long way toward alleviating rush hour issues. I use the bypass many times a week and witness many on-ramp backups in both directions. It doesn't help that the SB-Rte. 1 on-ramp at 252 is a single lane either.

This is the bottleneck that splits Delaware County. And there are few alternatives to get around it. This really needs to be fixed.

This has gotten worse if thats possible the timing on the lights is a disaster. whoever handles the triffic lights for upeer providence needs to be fired!

I see on the PA TIP sheet that the entire area on 252 - from Kerr Lane through Route One on and off ramps up to and through Rose Tree Road is slated for a re-do in 2013 - 2014. Great. Can't wait!!

Yes, the entire area of 252 form Kirk Lane to the split of 252 and Providence Road is being addressed in 2013 - finally! Two added traffic signals, making 5 in total, for this 3/4 mike stretch, all coordinated via "smart" technology, plus a road widening along Rosé Tree Park and a major intersection redo at both Rose Tree Road and the 'island' at the north end of the park, will make the are much safer, manage congestion better, and calm the flow of traffic - at least as planned.

You probably wont see any progress happening quickly lol. Ive been waiting anxiously hahah. Also, its not that hard to weasel around the traffic. That being said, the last thing we need are 2 more traffic lights. this isnt philadelphia, we dont need a traffic light every .1 miles

As we wait, the potholes are getting bigger, Upper Providence Police continue with their quota system of writing tickets. Maybe they could talk a minute out of their busy day and report some of these potholes.

The winter we experienced, a rather severe one with historically high levels of snow accumulations, made noticeable winter work on the roadways difficult. Work did continue throughout the winter on utilities, as PECO, Verizon and AQUA all continued their planned efforts. The advent of warmer weather has brought about a buzz of activity on roadway prep, particularly in the area of the US1 Bypass and the section of 252 along Rose Tree Park. Things are moving ahead as planned. I'll be reporting on schedule impacts soon, as it seems prudent to give PENNDOT and it's contractors a little time to get the Spring sessions underway.
