Description
Today the dufferin street bridge was closed. The cities solution for traffic for the next 18 months? Springhurst ave, a small residential street with speed bumps and a "no trucks allowed " sign, long ignored by truckers and police. This street is now lined up with cars, dump trucks, and transport trucks. Residential streets are not for re routing major arteries for long periods of time. The city needs to actually think about logistics for once, not slap up a road closed sign leaving commuters and truckers to clog an otherwise nice quiet street. Where is the " local traffic only" sign? why do police refuse to enforce the " no trucks" signs? Just another case of Toronto being run by people without a clue of how a major city should be run. I Pay a rent premium for lake front views, now I am paying for a traffic jam under my nose with transport and dump trucks every 30 seconds.
