This is an ongoing, lengthy project by Eversource. When the project is completed, Eversource is required to repave curbline to curbline.

Will the Companies be held responsible for the repavement of Everett Ave as well? Its a shame that the city spent money a few years ago to repave Everett Ave at Spruce, even installing the brick at the crosswalks and now the construction companies are just laying asphalt instead of replacing the brick.

Yes. They are responsible to restore the intersection of Everett/Spruce. That is a separate project.

the brick, while pretty and historic, is deadly especially for eiders, disabled people, kids and just about everyone, especially when it's icy. it is terrible for motorized devices. Countless hours are wasted trying to secure the bricks, only to have to do it over after winter weather. therefore, I support the DPW's decision to switch to the crummy looking stuff when a sidewalk falls apart.
