Dear Friends, I agree with the proposal to only have southside parking on Colchester between East Avenue and the cemetery. I add that it is really necessary to have a working bike lane (not interrupted by parked cars) up the hill from Mill Street to the cemetery (and preferably also a downhill bike lane.) My experience as a walker is that some bikers risk their lives towards the top of the hill, going around cars parked in the present bike lane, and that many bikers go between the sidewalks and street, often changing as they seek the safest spot. As an experienced walker, I know to watch out for bikers on the sidewalks. Tourists and children are not safe on the sidewalks. We must have bike lanes on the hill. Thanks, Sophie Quest, Chase Street, Burlington.
