UPDATE: We are coordinating with our contractor to begin the installations of newly painted long lines in the very near future. Unfortunately, the weather has not been on our side. However, bike lanes will be the very first markings that will be refreshed when the contractor is available, hopefully very soon.

As of now, we have the following list of bike lanes that will be repainted:

North Avenue
Rivers' Edge Drive
Park Street
North/South Champlain Street
Pearl Street
Colchester Avenue
East Avenue
Mansfield Avenue
North/South Union Street
Riverside Avenue
North Winooski Avenue
Main Street
North/South Willard Street
Pine Street
College Street

Barring any issues, the bike lanes generally get painted all in one night. This is our sincere hope and we thank you for your patience.

Thank you. Maybe the painting could be made to have a coordinated look throughout the city, rather than the mix of marking we have now. The double lines on Union are very confusing to motorists I have noticed over the years, the single white line on southbound Winooski works better. Non-slip green or red coloring throughout would be even better, if the budget allows. Right now the city looks like someone is doing a PhD on bike lanes and wants to try all possible kinds of bike lane markings and variable lane widths throughout the city.

The bike lanes were repainted throughout the city on 5/24.
