Description
Walking home tonight passed a car that was parked and running on Erie and Bay and the driver was literally drinking a bottle of Jameson Whiskey. Noticed a police cruiser 2786 on Newark and Erie. Brought it to their attention. Response: “What do you want us to do about it?” Totally could not believe what I heard, and in the meantime the car drove off up Erie. So much for resident safety.

If that was the car parked, they are tracked & should be disciplined for that remark and for not taking action

When you do see things like this you should also call the non emergency Police number (201-547-5477) this is recorded on the phone and if possible the plate number 0f the vehicle. There is also an APP. WOTS that you can download on your phone there are two officers that answer and will be sent to the location as well.
