I totally agree on the traffic signal at Mediterranean and Norfolk Ave. We also need one at Cypress and Norfolk Ave. Both intersections are extremely dangerous! Lots of people fly on Norfolk Ave. and pay no attention to the posted speed limit. Hopefully the city will address these issues.
All a traffic signal at Mediterranean and Norfolk Ave will do is cause a major traffic jam at Cyrus and Norfolk Ave!! Unfortunately if you’re going to do one you need to do the other. Maybe blinking lights would be the answer. It’s a good place to start. This would help out especially when they have oceanfront events and they funnel everybody out of the beach through Norfolk Avenue.
I have no problem with the light being there. I would have a problem if the lights weren't time as traffic jams would ensue and that's the last thing this area needs
Something to slow traffic would be great. But another traffic light seems extreme when we wait forever (or it just seems that was) to turn onto Norfolk at Bird Neck. A stop to speeding and tailgating on Norfolk Ave would be a great idea though
No to a traffic light.
Better crosswalks at both Cypress and Mediterranean.
Better lights for nighttime.
Possible crosswalk flashing lights.
Possible speed tracking sign i.e. “Your Speed is ___”
Occasional police presence to track speeders.

I agree the intersection can be tough at times but do not want a stoplight there.
I would rather see a light; however, I can agree on a 4-way stop on Med and on Cypress. An inexpensive way to slow down the traffic and allow safe crossing of Norfolk ave. Seem to work on Laskin pretty well.
Agree! The traffic light is actually an inhibitor to traffic flow most of the time when traffic is light. The busy periods are fairly infrequent so maybe we get a very animated person with white gloves out there for the 2 hours a day when this is an issue. It works in London!
Please, not a traffic signal there. Maybe a dozen times a day, maximum, it would really be helpful. Just wait and there will be a break in oncoming traffic. And probably sooner than if you had to wait for a light.
Marcy23451 - true. But I think the issue is safety and cars going too fast and/or bikes not stopping.
Possibly only run the signal during tourist season, then have it blink yellow?
Speed ramps? Bigger stop signs on the bike path? Not sure what the solution is, but I agree that it is an accident prone area and cars need to slow down on Norfolk Ave (and Rudee, Cypress and Mediterranean).
Just a lit crosswalk at both Mediterranean and Cypress intersections. The ones that flash when there’s a pedestrian. Traffic signals would create too much traffic in the neighborhoods.
