it would be great if the Public Works Agency gave more information when they state an issue is closed. Obviously it's been reopened since the piece of furniture is still there! Thanks for reopening this issue.

I agree. My guess is that because the couch is on private property and not on the sidewalk it then was referred to code enforcement, but that could be stated, as the PWA often does.

So if I drag it onto the sidewalk, they'll pick it up? :)

Whose property is it on now, eastbaybirdnerd? Does that grassy area belong to a house or a vacant lot? Whatever you do, don't hurt your back!

I wish whoever wanted to get rid of it had scheduled a bulky waste pick-up with waste management instead of dumping it.
