Description
In mornings, heavy traffic, i have seen people almost get hit when crossing the crosswalk, and this morning, a 9 yr old boy got hit on his bike; in pain and shaken up but ok i believe. Scary. How about a pedestrian light? People cross a lot to get to freshpond, and seems to be a blind spot to cars.

The existing pedestrian crossing nearby at Huron and Fresh Pond Pkwy is extremely dangerous especially now that DCR has not restored the “no right on red” sign destroyed by a hit and run a few days ago.

The city of Cambridge has done nothing.
The DCR has done nothing meaningful. We are guaranteed more deaths, accidents and fear.
Raised crosswalks and speed cameras are a solution.
I fear nothing will improve until public outcry drops this problem square in the Governor’s lap. Only then will we see the State Police and DCR fulfill their obligations.
Until then our public safety remains ignored.
