A few of us residence have moved about 100lbs of wet pine needles to help. But there are still many more that we can't remove with just our hand tools. Along with the culvert being clogged inside.
I know the County was out just yesterday because I had a brochure left on my front door informing me that mosquitos breed in standing water. Yet the only standing water on my property is the backed up water from the ditch. Just another reason to fix the problem.
This major obstruction is causing standing water and an extreme amount of mosquitoes, terrible for not only the local residents of the block but anyone at the Central elementary school as well. Please help.

Pinellas County Communications Department would like to apologize for closing out your reported issue. Urban Forestry has removed the smaller A Pines along the ditch line and pruned the branches up from the larger ones in back. The site should be clear and ready for equipment to work on the ditch.
Your issue has been reopened for additional ditch maintenance and clearing by our stormwater operations division.. We ensure you that the Public Works Department will take necessary action to resolve the issue..
