Good morning, Alan. You know that’s not a no parking sign, right. It’s no parking from there to the corner. Those vehicles have not been there 24 hours either. Mine is in front and I parked it there this morning. There was no RV behind me at the time. Now do I want the RV there, I wouldn’t choose for it to be if it’s intent is to be a permanent home for someone. But until a law is actually broken or the parking codes violated, I don’t think it’s right to harass someone. Maybe the RV is in violation in some way (I don’t know the codes for that specifically), but I certainly know my box truck is not. And I’ve still not seen anyone prove any accidents have happened. Would you please stop harassing me and others over this street? We all own it. You’re also wasting our police departments time. I’d rather they have the time to focus on the rampant property crime. I’m sure they would rather that too.

According to the picture, it looks like there is an intersection. Both vehicles are parked too close to the corner and are interfering with the vision of oncoming traffic. By the way, you don't own the street. The city of Tukwila does. Come down off your high horse.

The RV was gone upon checking the location. The box van appears to be a Class 4 vehicle according to Tukwila Municipal Code 9.20.080, and the parking of such a vehicle in a residential zone is in violation of the TMC, however no infraction written at this time. in hopes of the vehicle relocating. Vehicles observed parked on both sides of South 137th Street narrowing the street for east and west traffic. Request being forwarded to Public works in the hopes the north side of South 137th Street is posted as no parking tow away to keep the roadway available for parking yet safe for commuting.

With complete respect, I’d like to point out according to TMC 9.20.010 the truck is a “class 2” since it is rated 10,000 GVWR. This is why I maintain it’s parked legally. There is also 10’ or more between vehicles parked on either side which is wide enough per TMC 9.20.060. I do my absolute best to comply with all parking laws and will definitely accept suggestions on how to lessen any impact of my presence on my neighbors. I’d be willing to park further from the corner or on the other side of the road if it makes it less visible to the offended poster. But I’m feeling bullied repeatedly by this matter. I already park where I do In order to be most respectful and courteous. According to our HOA I could park in my driveway and move my other vehicle to the road, but then I’m offending many of my other neighbors with the van in my driveway. I don’t want to be the enemy of my neighborhood. As I can tell, I’m just being the target for a couple bored people on this street.

Your request regarding illegal parking has been closed. This issue was just addressed recently and was not found to be a violation. If further parking restrictions are implemented in this neighborhood, it applies to all vehicles and on-street parking has been appreciated to this point. It sounds like this vehicle owner is trying to lessen the impact and is willing to listen to suggestions. Without a proven accident history to justify the observers concerns, I can't justify signing this low volume area at this time. Please be considerate of your neighbors needs and work together to find a solution.

Park that box truck COMMERCIALLY. That's what it's for. Commercial endeavors are expensive, that's why not everyone does it. Stop making the innocent taxpayers and neighbors have to put up with your cheapness. Get a space or sell it.
