The addition of drainage pools in Alger Park has raised the number of mosquitoes tremendously. There are several kinds, including large black ones that give vicious stings that cause severe itching and swelling that last for days as well as the ones that are hard to see. The number of mosquitoes in the last two years is horrible on Hilcrest Drive.
