Is it possible to make 15th Ave N just west of 34th Street a no thru street?
15th Ave N would end right after the Pet Pals strip mall and the entrance to the hotel parking lot. Why???? 15th Ave N is unusually busy with speeding cars all the time. Plus the ladies from the hotel walk around here all the time. It is a nuisance for a side street to be so busy all the time. This action would increase the values of all the houses on this block. Please consider this as a safety issue for immediate action. The residents would use the avenues to the north or south for access to 34th St. If this is impossible to do, the only other option is to install two
speed bumps on 15th Ave N between 34th and 35th streets. Please
consider the first choice. Thank you.

Transportation Department staff have completed 24-hour speed and volume studies on 15th Avenue N between 34th & 35th Streets, in this a 30 MPH speed zone and the results are as follows:
E/B = 129 vehicle; average operating speed = 30.71 MPH
W/B = 127 vehicles; average operating speed = 33.81 MPH
This data does not represent a severe traffic concern that would require additional countermeasure to address speed or volume. Also, the City does not routinely consider closures of roadways that would restricting access or egress to other nearby roadways based on our grid pattern street system.
Therefore, based on our review there are no additional measures required at this time.
