So the City continues to ignore the problem. I'll advise the school district and other organizations that have visitors from that parking lot to sue the school district for their carpet cleaning bills....

Thank you for reporting this issue to the City of Dixon. City Staff has resolved this issue. Thank you for Fixin Dixon. Staff will continue to pressure wash other areas in the Downtown as well on 9/13/19

So the pressure washing is a band aid, can we get an actual solution to the problem?

I have been parking in this parking lot for 12 years and i have not been so frustrated as today. Yesterday when i got off work my car was completely COVERED in this tree sap after the rain. Just as if someone got a hose full of goo and sprayed my whole car. It was the worst ever! I could not get in my car without getting my hands all sticky. I had to TUG hard on my door handle to open my door that was stuck! I had to run the water spray windshield wipers for a good minute to get a semi clean window to be able to see and drive safely. Cant role my windows down because they get stuck and they stop or jump to role down. My windows can break when i role them down. I can't walk without my shoe falling off because it gets stuck to the STICKY ground. It was to late 10:30 pm last night when i got home to wash my car with soap and water therefore driving this morning was a hazard. I drive from Sacramento to Dixon and the bright sun was in my driver side rear view mirror. Combination of sun, dirty mirror covered in sap plus a window covered in sap make it a safety hazard to drive. I could not clean my window or mirror because it would just smears and makes it 100x worse! Yes i can park far away from the trees and we could all do that but what would that do to the parking issue downtown and waist of parking lot space! Also, the clinic patients who park here that are older and can get stuck and trip. (i actually saw that this morning, someone tripping because their shoe got stuck). The handicap parking spaces where the patients on wheelchairs...etc their equipment wheels can get stuck and they can trip too! Thank you for spraying couple days ago. but its only fixed for one day and its NOT THE SOLUTION!!! also the workers where here around 8am when the majority of people that use this parking lot get here at 8am and try to park. They could not do much because they had to rush to wash because people were trying to park. I LOVE trees but this needs to be fixed!

This is all sticky tree sap that makes it a safety hazard to drive. it does not clean easy.

Is spraying in Jan/Feb 2020 the only strategy to resolve?

Staff washed the trees and sidewalks on 11/21/19. This item is still scheduled for spraying in January/February 2020.
