The abandoned trolly tracks on 12th Street are a terrific hazard for bicyclist. Aware of one serious accident at least. Tracks not only go straight but curve out to the right close to the parking lane at this location.

Andrew,
Thank you for your comment. We would be interested in knowing any details about the accidents on 12th Street involving the trolley tracks.

The trolley track hazard is still out there and it is particularly bad in that area of 12th Street next to Reading Terminal Market where there are multiple straight and curving tracks--none of which are in use.

I'm not sure these are considered abandoned. A 23/"Welcome line" trolley ran there not so long ago- and there are much more dangerous tracks (Old trolley/old railroad)in other areas of the city.
I am incredibly disappointed that a law firm already seems to be looking here for a new line of business (and using the See click fix service to troll for new customers).
The former route 23 as a trolley is a political hot potato- some trackage areas on Germantown Ave (Mt Airy- Cresham to W. Gowan) have seen incredible track/road investment dollars (A state grant, I assume) other areas have simply been paved over (Same line!). Someone in power should make a final decision about this line.
