This issue has been going on for years. I carpool on this block every day taking my disabled son to school. Every weekday around 7:15AM, the husband who has the car parked in that spot leaves for 30min or so and the wife "holds" the spot by putting trash/items in the street and yells at people that they cannot park there. When he returns, she removes the trash/items and he parks. It's absurd.

This resident's mother sells many assorted items every day on the steps of their property at 335 7th and also places big items on the sidewalk and sometimes on the street. She puts her for sale items like the upright vacuum cleaners, luggage, garbage cans, and orange traffic witch hats, etc. in the parking space at the end of her selling day to save the space for her son's car to park. She speaks broken English with heavy Polish or Russian accent, so you may need an interpreter to explain to her that she is not permitted to put items in the street to block the space to save this parking space in front of their house for family members to park.

If you actually read the complaint, it has nothing to do with garbage; it has to do with BLOCKING A PARKING SPACE. It is parking-related, not garbage-related. It is about blocking a parking space; the operative word being PARKING, which one would think is handled by the PARKING enforcement.

As per Inspector Lipari, he found no object in the street when he went on 10/24/2019.
