Good luck getting this fixed. I drove that every school day for 6 years as I had kids go there back to back. On 2 occasions I was actually forced off the road in order to avoid a head on collision. It is beyond dangerous. I notified the school no less than 10 different times, and I reported it to the police at least 3 times. There used to be a city of Clearwater police car that also parked in the street. I took pics and sent them to the Clearwater police dept along with a complainant after leaving notes on the officers car 2 time politely explaining the danger and asking them to park else where. After the photo to the dept the car did start parking in the parking lot. I also left notes on all the other cars, and the large white van that’s close to the back entrance of the school but to no avail. I agree something needs to be done before someone is seriously injured. Just wait for innisbrookes busses during gold season, that’s added fun!

I agree 100%! The last traffic study got us no parking signs so both sides of Bentley Drive are not being parked on anymore, however, there are always vehicles parked on the curves by the Hamlet/Villas which is the most dangerous spot. The Clearwater PD squad is there every time I leave to run errands, but at least it's not on one of the curves.

Last week I almost got slammed by a speeding car coming around the curve where the "Friendly's Plumbing" truck always parks w/other cars just a foot from the no parking sign. For that reason, I decided to put this on See Click Fix and see if I can garner some community support to get the issue fixed.

The last traffic study was Dec 2017. Only one other person complained which pushed the issue to the bottom of the pile. I've since forwarded the traffic officer's information to the HOA president of the villas at his request. Hopefully, soon we'll stop seeing cars parked on the curves and some more speed patrols beyond school pickup/dropoff times too. But it truly takes more than one person to make things happen.

Well I hope it gets taken care of. Luckily for me I no longer drive it everyday but it was a major concern for many years for me. I also worry about the safety of pedestrians when cars have to swerve off the road to avoid each other because of cars parked in the street. It most certainly deserves some attention! Thank you for extending the No Parking signs. Is there a way to have them EXCLUDE the school hours verbiage on places where the road curves? Those areas are dangerous at all hours.

The Friendly's Plumbing van and others that park overnight along Bentley Dr live in the villas. The problem is that the villas only give 2 parking spaces per villa and have NO guest or extra parking whatsoever! They don't even allow the residents to park in their pool parking lot overnight! If the residents can't park their 3rd vehicle or visitors on Bentley, where are they going to park?

The Woodridge Parkway area also has a ton of kids standing there waiting to be picked up. I keep seeing that Traffic has engaged with Sheriff Dept. Since it is well know that this is a danger to residents/all involved, I don't understand why it takes residents to call Sheriff to currently monitor the area.When signage is finally placed, I am assuming that Sheriff Dept. will be there to enforce without daily calls.
Additionally, the County could have cones there right now to help manage the problem.

Unfortunately the signage has been ignored. People simply park in front of the no parking signs. As for the after school lineup, my neighbors and I have called the sheriff on several occasions when people were blocking our driveways, one hit my neighbor's mailbox and drove off, etc... Since calling it in after taking pics of the vehicles/lic plates and the sheriff patrolling; The lineup on Shannon Cir has stopped.

As for the parking on Bentley... Not so much. It's still a game of Rally X when trying to go through the villas. I like the new "Drive like YOUR kids live here" signs though.

Deputy Guzman and other patrol deputies are working the area as much as possible. A Directed Patrol was also established and we will continue to monitor the situation.
