Thank you, for your request. An inspector will be out to tag the bikes for removal. After 48 hrs. (from the time the bikes are tagged), if the bikes are not claimed DPW will remove them.
Hi Tom, heads up that none of these bikes around the post office were tagged and are all still in place. When will these be tagged and removed? Thank you.
ok the inspector t ranalli said that the original bikes from the original complaint were removed the inspector noted that he placed new tags on other bikes today
Rich, this is incorrect. We also have to other issue #'s for bike removal requests immediately around the vicinity of the Post Office, however for simplicity can we use this as the main issue for bike removals around the post office? The other two issue #'s are 6754081 and 6754259. I am attaching pictures here of the other bike racks - two racks on Washington Street and one rack on York Street.
ok .
as you can see if you compare the picture of the first one placed on this report to the second one there are dif bikes there, except the light green one but this one is facing a dif way so the owner of this bike is using it and taking the seat off so to prevent it from being stolen some people take their seats off to prevent theft as is the case with the others it doesn't mean that they are abandoned. these bike racks are placed for people to use daily and that just be the case.
this is why the inspector places a red sick on tag on the tire of the bike if this tag is removed then the inspector assumes that it is used on a daily basis.
if you need to talk about this further then please do not hesitate to call me at 201-547-4400
