Can you please explain the process if the home owner does not comply please? Will fines be issued daily?

Following the provisions of Chapter 40U of the Massachusetts General Laws regarding housing code violations, the Town must notify a property owner of a violation and allow two weeks to resolve the issue. If, at the end of two weeks, the owner is still in violation, daily fines are assessed. Unpaid fines are placed as a lien on the property. Regardless of these procedures, there is no guarantee that the homeowner will comply and the Town may not enter onto private property to maintain it.

Is there an update for this property? Seems nothing is changing there. A van is still parked on the lawn.

Yes, I am aware I went by there this morning to see if the vehicle was removed. Owner will receive another fine. He is at the $100.00 a day status.

Owner agreed to remove the vehicle. Owner explain transmission went and unable to physically remove. The vehicle will need to be towed off lot . He agreed to have it removed no later than next Monday 1st week December. He is aware that if it is not removed $100.00 a day fines will continue.
