Please add more street lights to the pedestrian walkways for the high school kids. It’s pitch black in the morning. Pedestrians are invisible to motorists.
How about putting in better and safer crosswalks?

I would agree that the lighting for that intersection is "average" but in my opinion it needs to be much brighter, considering the pedestrian and bike traffic in the mornings. I see kids every day that try and cross the street, but the cars simply do not see them due to darkness. Here are a few ideas:
1) Maybe try a different type of lighting. I run the HOA for the Heathwood neighborhood and we have "orange" lights (amber) at the entrance of the neighborhood. (Chamblee-Dunwoody and Kings Down Rd). They provide a contrast to the white light and add better definition.
2) Are the flashing crosswalk indicators an option here? Like the crossing on Mt Vernon near Sandy Springs. Flashing Stop Signs?
3) Any other type of indicator that could be activated by pedestrians to pause traffic momentarily?
Just some thoughts.
