Transportation Department staff will review and advise -

A review of all adjacent properties indicates that they are required to provide sufficient on-site parking. Transportation can prohibit parking on the west side of streets per City Code, either by petition (which isn't likely) or if Fire, Police or Sanitation indicates parking is an issue. We will therefore circulate your request for their review and comments. Once we have heard back I will post the results here.

Goldnwolf, they live on 14th Ave. S, I believe. A number of neighbors over there are afraid their cars will be stolen so they are parking on 6th St. S. (Dead end) and going through the connecting fence. If they all lived on this street it would be one thing, but the road is already so narrow that trash doesn’t get picked up unless I take it to the intersection. I have gotten trapped in and had to drive through multiple yards to escape because of people legally(!) parking on both sides of the street at the same time.

Jammed up : I can tell you where those people live although I can’t prove it. But before I do I want to make it known that I am simply relating facts I’m not expressing an opinion because I appreciate that the people who own 545 13th Ave. S. put a lot of money into fixing it up and making it an asset to the neighborhood. With that said; they sold a small lot adjacent to their property which should have been used as a parking lot and now the new tenants have to park on the street. Since there is a duplex right across the street from them which also has no on-site parking there’s no street parking left on 13th Ave., South!

We have received concurrence from the Police and Fire Departments that parking on both sides of 6th Street south of 12th Avenue S restricts access for their equipment. We have therefore issued a work order to post "No Parking Anytime" restrictions on the west side, per City Code.
