Please let me know when this tree will be cut down. I have attached a picture of the current state of the tree since the roots were cut out. This large branch is facing the house.

This tree is on our list for removal and I had our contractors working in the 4th District before the virus quarantine. As of now most of our removals have been put on hold. We will resume work in the 4th as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding in these trying times.

Is there any update for when the tree will be cut down?

The request was sent two years ago and other trees have been taken down before this one.

I will check with our contractor. I know they are cutting near you, so I would assume it will be soon.

The tree has been cut down but they left a huge pile of mulch where the tree was. Are they coming out to remove the pile? It's about 2 feet high and has small and large chunks of wood.

Normally the stump is ground down six to eight inches below grade, the mulch pile is left to decompose and turn to soil and fill the void that is left. This keeps us from having to import clean fill to every tree removed. This is industry standard practice, although it sounds like the mulch pile that was left is excessive. We will check with the contractor and see if they can remove some of the mulch.
