Description
I have a question about the street tree outside my house. Several years ago the city cut down the tree that was there. At the time, the arborist told us it would be replaced. I am writing to ask if it is, in fact, going to be replaced. If not, will the city eventually remove the stump?
I am planning my garden for the spring and what I would plant in the area around that tree would be different if you were going to replace the tree than if you were not.
Thank you.

Hi Ann,
This location has been added to our fall stump removal list. I have categorized this request as a tree planting request. This location will be assessed for planting and scheduled for a spring planting. If you have any additional questions please let me know.

Thank you for reporting this issue. A sweetgum was planting in June of 2020.
Have you considered participating in our adopt-a-tree program? If you are willing and able, it is a great way to help increase the survivability of our urban trees.
