Unfortunately, there will be a significant, multi-year, permitting effort to perform work on the blocks and trail that you propose. The permitting for doing work within the floodplain of the river will include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DEEP, and CT DOT. We will continue to monitor the area and perform any emergency repairs that may be necessary. Thank you very much for your suggestion though.
