I, unfortunately, am a neighbor of the junkyard man living at 4105 NW 22nd Drive. I know he is well known in your department, but we have put up with his yard for years and nothing has been done by the City. He has tarps on his roof which indicate leaks, mosquito issues, and vehicles everywhere. You cannot even see the front of his house. Please tell us how to get him evicted from our neighborhood. He no longer owns the house; it was put in a LLC a few years ago when his mother (previous owner) went to a nursing home. Fining him will do NO good.

Thank you for inquiring about 4105 NW 22nd DR. Currently several liens have been recorded on this property. One lien from SM 2018-083R/CE-18-02186, which was recorded with the Alachua County Official Records on August 9, 2018 in Book 4621, Page 1356, runs daily at $100/day beginning June 15, 2018.

Case closed? Really? Just for one moment, imagine that you lived next door to this property? We, his neighbors, have been looking at this yard daily for several YEARS! We are all fed up with this issue and the non-compliance of Mr. Englert, as well as the non-action of the City of Gainesville Code Enforcement. Please advise who we can contact that might actually have some authority or power to address our complaints.

Your concerns have been noted. Code Enforcement liens have been placed against the property and the owner. As long as the same violation continues we cannot place another lien on the property.
