Seattle's historic Federal Avenue East (westside of Volunteer Park) has large stretches of decaying roadway and potholes. Cars and bikes are frequently damaged on this street. Additionally, the volume of traffic is likely greater than estimated, as a large number of cars, bikes, and pedestrians use this as an alternative to traffic congested 10th Ave E.
