Sandy surge muscled sidewalk up a foot for 15 feet along Grand in front if the Prep Field. "Temporary" measures were to put wooden ramps on either side with a warning painted on the sidewalk.

Wood has separated from the concrete, leaving a gap in the ramp- perfect for someone to trip and fall.

so i'm told they removed the rotting chipboard ramp and filled it in with concrete, painted it red and called it fixed. if a resident did that, we'd be receiving fines daily.

until this is actually repaved, i'm leaving it open. making concrete ramps and leaving the sidewalk a foot higher than it should be isn't a solution. the owner was issued a summons.

I'm a little in shock here, but the sidewalk got fixed. Kudos and many thanks to Mark Redfield from the HCE.

Leaving it open just to savor for a bit :)
