I've asked this question as well; city workers say it's Roundup, others say it's Roundup Custom, which is supposed to be safe for aquatic uses as long as it only contacts the foliage (yeah, right!). But I've warched workers blast a few plants in the Plover canal with hoses, and along Appomattox next to our water supply. That's why I don't drink tap water and don't give it to my pets.

I’m just wondering if it takes this long for the public to get. I wonder what happens to an employee in a emergency??? Guess we will need to send to City Management and Commission folks. 🧐

Just would like to know the BLUE liquid that was being sprayed in our waterways , bus stops, sidewalks, bike racks, etc. I’m actually getting a bit frustrated!

However, here is a summary: Crews primarily use Tribune Herbicide for our waterways. The blue dye you see is an inert non-toxic tracker used to ensure appropriate coverage and to make sure crews aren't overusing chemicals. Glyphosate is used on dry ground for areas like sidewalks. Cool Jane but back in the 70’s it was man power that kept those swales cleaned. My drinking water doesn’t need this sprayed in it. This isn’t just about you! Either you or the city should weed whacking! Pure laziness to turn towards all chemicals for all our weed whacking needs throughout the City.
