Description

Demens Park 8:30 am 2/5/20 asked couple to please put dog on leash as I've been bitten twice in St Pete parks by dogs...not on a leash...and who the owners advise "would not hurt anyone". The male owner cursed at me and threatened bodily harm as I was calling animal control. Walked away and took another picture of a different dog (not on a leash) playing catch with their owner!! Four parks walked...six dogs off their leash...city employees zooming by on their "gators"!! Called St Pete Police and Rob advised that he could send an officer to talk to the gentleman about the threats, but I would have to call Animal Control or a neighborhood Resource Officer for actions regarding the dog. Wasn't the dog's fault...it was his human owners disregarding Pinellas County leash law!! Last time I was bitten, I drove all the way to Animal Control off of Ulmerton and they told me to file a police report!
