Q. What is the Issue or Complaint?
A. They are using the property as a nightly rental. VRBO, airbnb and Expedia all list as well as others. They need to be stopped as this hurts the smaller motels. Undercharging is attractive to travelers but they are not a hotel and not zoned as such.

The City of Treasure Island is aware of the ongoing issue of Short-Term Rentals. The City is compiling data and making reports on the Short-Term Rentals that we have found or that have been reported. The enforcement process is a long one with some hurdles, but we are diligently working on these issues.
