@Elizalou: How far did you go with your request? Were your neighbors involved and supportive? Was it also for Washington Ave?

It's still open and active on here...some neighbors got involved but only a few.

No one gets invovlved because most of the residents there recognize it's a through street Eliza. I've seen your earlier attempts at having speed bumps installed. That just creates a problem for drivers using the road. Washington Avenue is a through street, and traffic has been heavy for many, many years. How do you know these drivers are speeding? You have a radar gun? With your Quinnipiac bashing, I tend to disbelieve your statements. If you really don't like living on a busy road, there is an easy solution....move to a side road.

@.: Yes, Washington Ave is through street, with a 25mph speed limit and stop signs. If you think moving to another home is an easy solution, get ready to have your mind blown. Drivers who wish to go faster than 25mph and avoid stop signs can even more easily just choose a different route all without the hassle of banks, mortgages, landlords, and, you know, relocating one's entire life.

I was an undergrad once, too, so I know how it is, but it would be harder to bash QU drivers if they removed the school branding from their parents' cars before they went around disrespecting people's neighborhoods.
