i've been asked to write an update, so i'll report that the problem persists on the bridge and has worsened; now the 'plowmountain' has formed a dam, so not only do pedestrians have to walk in the street with heavy, fast traffic, but we must also walk through a puddle well more than a foot deep, naturally getting drenched by cars as they speed by at our elbows. the businesses, however, have been markedly better, though not flawless.
