Description
This image is of a car driving over the white line on the corner where Finch meets Wyatt, near St. Barnabas church. It is taken from Finch, and the car is coming from Wyatt. Not having a raised curb makes it very dangerous for pedestrians headed into town, or St Barnabas or to go to the waterfront trail by St. Barnabas.
Vehicles constantly driving over this corner have also made a deep indent, and pedestrians and cyclists have to go over a deeply rutted and sometimes flooded pavement.
A Dura-curb on Wyatt, stopping a few feet before the turn into Finch would solve this. http://www.hoosierco.com/dura-curb.html. It would be similar to the one on Finch where it turns into Sportsman Club Road, where the people were hit and one was killed a few years ago.
With a curb, drivers would leave more space for pedestrians, and pedestrians would be safer. Cyclists would be able to go right or straight. It wouldn't impede them.
