Wintergreen of Westville has hundreds of cars that make a left turn against thousands of backed-up cars going to SCSU every morning, afternoon and evening. It takes forever to get out of the parking lot!

The question of a stoplight here was left open when the project was approved. The traffic study said a stoplight was not necessary. The apartments are not full, certainly it will not be necessary until they are. This item exaggerates numbers, "hundreds" and "thousands" is over an extended period of time, like 12 hours. I live within sight of Wintergreen and have never experienced more than a minor pause. The pizza deliver vehicle is much more dangerous, tearing in and out of their driveway, sometimes unmarked, rarely properly signaling or yielding. Now as the resident age at Wintergreen goes down, as they convert to dorms, testosterone and dizziness in resident drivers may lead to the need for a light.

Oh god. No more traffic lights around here. Please. It already takes so long to get through here, even when there's not a soul around, because the lights can't recognize when a car is approaching or waiting. I feel like I've lost days of my life sitting and waiting at empty intersections because someone demanded a traffic light be installed to address a nonexistent problem.

This is so typical of the NH Safe Streets people. Demand lights and stop signs. Then when cars inevitably go faster to try to avoid waiting at these silly lights, they start whining about speeding. Then they want red light cameras installed and police cars setting up speed traps.

Traffic happens at peak hours. Wouldn't it be better for drivers to be able to make a turn when there's an opening instead of waiting at a light at an empty intersection?
