I've heard rumors that every summer route 5 is supposed to be paved.. this area it really bad on my car.. from the stoplight for the hospital straight through to the SavOn... is anything to be done about this?
The main solution would be to take down the massive hill going East into the Light at the Hospital/Seneca Street location as they did several years ago with the old railroad hump/hill approaching the light on 365 onto Rt 5 in Oneida Castle. I think by taking out that hill, traffic would move more fluid and you would be able to anticipate the light at Seneca St and Rt 5 much easier. I agree that that are throughout is in need of a definite face lift from top to bottom. I hit it tonight in our jeep and thought the springs and struts broke. There is a pothole about 1'deep in that intersection. Where do the tax $'s go again? Thought so...now lets get this fixed and put it behind us. Write your local congressman or DOT Supervisor for additional support or next the media will be contacted. That should go over well.
