Can usually recognize a signal from a picture, even without the street name as a clue. This took a session with Google Earth to recognize which of the four on Grove Street it could be. Looks like the same car parked in the background as on Google Earth. Yes, the placement is atrocious. Do not know the circumstances of its installation, "inherited" these four sometime after with no prior knowledge. This should be moved, if possible.

V.J. from Parks Department was nice enough to get these trimmed back. This is really two problems, and the immediate problem has been taken care of. The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work.

However, the other problem remains with the poor placement of this device. The plan is to butt the base up against the sidewalk for easier reach, and a little closer to the road so it can be more clearly seen. This will require hydro-excavating for the new hole and a backhoe to pick and move it. Tentatively scheduled loosely for next month. The assumption is no conflicting underground utilities, which will not be known until we Dig-Safe the area just prior to the work.
