Description
I can't even walk near this section of our city sidewalk due to all of the pet waste that one particular family who owns four large dogs(rott,Pitt,&2 large sheperds) creates by not cleaning up after their pets. Our HOA has even installed a pet waste station within 25 feet of where they allow their dogs to use the bathroom and then they don't clean it up!! Isn't this a city of Newnan violation? I would like them to be fined and maybe as punishment have them clean vup the mess they created. I, as well as several others have told them to clean up after their pets. They just act defiant. I believe the area in question is City of Newnan property. Please Help!! The smell is terrible.

A property owner adjacent to a sidewalk would be responsible for the maintenance of the sidewalk, including keeping it clean, according to our ordinances. In addition, picking up after a pet is important for helping to prevent stormwater runoff pollution.
From our ordinance, Sec. 4-21. - Animal waste.
An owner or keeper walking, exercising or otherwise having his/her animal outside the confines of his/her own property, whether public or private, shall carry and utilize a means to pick up and dispose of excreta deposited by his/her animal by way of, but not limited to, a scoop and a bag. The contents of the bag shall be disposed of on the confines of the owner's or keeper's property or in a proper receptacle designated for such disposal.
I have assigned your complain to the Animal Warden.
