Please post up a good description of the dogs, where the owners live (if you are absolutely certain it is their dogs) and try contacting the Oakland County Animal Control Officers. I don't believe they have officially begun here in Pontiac, but if the dogs have attacked/bitten people and other dogs, someone who will do something needs to be made aware of it.

This used to be a nice neighborhood, 40 years ago, since the natives have movedin it continues to go down hill! Can you say detroit?

There is a animal control officer that lives in the neighorhood, on Hopkins!

The dogs are located at 177 West Shefield and are constantly running loose. Robert Dean is the owner of the dogs and walks through the neighborhood with these pit bulls off leash all the time

Maybe the authorities should look at where he gets his money or are they ignoring him because he is an informant?

I have had two run in with these dogs and I agree that they are malicious. The man that owns them swears they wouldn't hurt a soul but he's been told about them comeing after other dogs and that they run loose all the time. The cops have been to this house many times and have done nothing. Only one way to deal with this kind of thing, the way they did in the old west!!!

Unfortunately Chef, I think you're right. I believe everyone has the right to protect themselves and their property (in this case, their own dogs) if faced with an imminent threat (the loose dogs attacking).

Get a cwp, if you feel your life is threatened, handle it!
