I think people in Amherst need to know that the Jenne Sandstone Art Gallery is closing. I really don't know what can be done about it as the Amherst Historical Society wants to no longer foot the bill for Heating and Electrical. Neal Jenne, the artist that originated the gallery, is in a Nursing Home suffering with cancer. If enough people in Amherst took the time to let the Historical Society know that they don't want to lose the gallery, maybe it could be saved.
