Description
This block is Permit Exempt due to it's two churches and has become long term free parking for out of state scofflaws. It's not patrolled by PPA so bad inspections, no registrations, and even illegal parking revenue is being missed. Let's not forget about this drivers getting FREE parking ...not even the annual registration and parking permit revenue.
Since our taxes are going up 10 times I think something should be done with these freeloaders. Plus if they're not using Philly as their "residence" are they also skipping out on the City Wage taxes putting more burden on actual tax paying residents ...and I'm almost certain that's breaking the law several times.

I haven't noticed any change since in the situation. I am documenting the regular out of state tags (some of which are expired) and plan on attending the monthly Sosna 17th Police meeting and have the issue addressed.
Our block Cpt. Andre, a Vietnam War veteran and tax payer, and his wife should not have to park 4 blocks away when they go get groceries. Other block residents end up sidewalk parking or take questionable spots (and get tickets for it). We pay taxes ..and they're going up. The free parking lot needs to end.
The simplest solution would be to have the block designated permit parking with exemptions for the churches ...like putting up 6 hr time limit signs and leaving Sundays exempt.
